Fabric sourcing by end use

Linen and linen-cotton fabrics for shirts and blouses.

Source woven fabric for your shirt collection from Shaoxing, China. Compare four published pure linen and linen-cotton references, review their real photographs and choose the samples for your garment maker. Order by roll or metre; standard minimums are 1 roll per colour (approximately 50 m) for stock, 800 m per colour for custom dyeing and 2,000 m per quality for new development. Standard lead times are 3–5 days after payment for stock, 15–20 days for custom dyeing and 30–40 days after sample approval for new development; peak season (March–May) may add 5–7 days.

Review starting qualities ↓

Start with the style you are making.

Pure linen shirts

Start with the two 100% linen references if your brief specifies pure flax linen. Keep their different weights and construction references attached to each sample request.

Cotton-linen shirts and blouses

Compare the two 55% linen / 45% cotton references if the brief allows a blend. The same composition does not establish the same hand feel, opacity or garment behavior.

A reference you want to match

Send a fabric or garment reference, target composition and shade, and explain what needs to match. Identify acceptable alternatives before a supplier proposes another quality.

A starting sample selection.

These published references are options to evaluate, not a final suitability approval. Follow each SKU to its real photographs and specification.

Add this selection to an inquiry

Resolve these points before bulk.

Compare the garment components

Review collar, cuff, placket and seams with your garment maker using the selected shade and finish. Agree how much material the trial needs before cutting.

Keep stock and custom requests separate

State whether an available shade is acceptable or a custom color is required. Stock availability and color are checked for the selected SKU. Custom dyeing starts at 800 m per colour; lab dips take 5–7 days and bulk dyeing takes 15–20 days after color approval.

Request a usable quotation

Send the SKU, shade, quantity per color, preferred roll or metre unit, destination and required date. Confirm usable width, care process and any required testing before bulk approval.

Quality review and evidence →

Before requesting the samples.

Do you supply finished shirts?

This page is for woven fabric sourcing, not finished-shirt manufacturing. Share the shirt design to help us review fabric references; your garment maker confirms the construction.

Which weight is best for a linen shirt?

There is no single best GSM for every shirt. These references have different compositions and constructions. Compare the physical samples in the intended shade for your design; this page does not report comparative test results.

Can I order fabric by the metre?

Bulk can be requested by roll or by metre. Stock colours start at 1 roll per colour (approximately 50 m); custom dyeing starts at 800 m per colour; new development starts at 2,000 m per quality. A one-metre sample does not establish a bulk minimum. See homepage order terms for lead times.

Can I request pure linen and cotton-linen samples together?

Yes. Select the references you want to review and keep sample quantities separate from forecast bulk quantities. A4 swatches are free (up to 5 colours per quality); the buyer pays courier cost. Sample yardage is USD 8 per metre from 1 m and is deducted from a bulk order.

Send the garment brief with the fabric references.

Include the intended style, colors, sample quantity, estimated bulk quantity per color and destination. Sample length is separate from a bulk minimum order.
