A resort collection may combine shirts, dresses and light cover-ups, but one fabric need not serve every style. Start with the garment and desired coverage, then compare the published qualities below. These are fabric-sourcing options from Shaoxing, China, not claims of sun protection or swimwear performance.
Review starting qualities ↓Tell us the collar, sleeve and silhouette direction. Compare the selected color in daylight and indoor light, including how the sample looks over the intended underlayer. Keep the actual garment construction in the sample brief.
Describe whether the design uses gathers, panels or pleats and where it needs movement or body. Review the fabric on the intended shape rather than judging its drape from a flat photograph.
Define how much coverage the design needs. Review both plain and artistic references if appearance is a priority, and decide on layering with a physical sample. A low GSM is not an opacity measurement.

Give the destination and target date for sample planning. If the collection has specific wash, colorfastness or other performance requirements, name them for review. Resortwear positioning does not prove UV, saltwater or chlorine resistance.
